Welcome to DoHandy Inc. ("DoHandy," "we," "us," or "our"). We operate a platform connecting customers with handyman service providers for home improvement and repair services. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, which form a contractual agreement between you ("you," "User," "Customer," or "Handyman") and DoHandy Inc. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.
1. Use of Services
  • Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.
  • Account Registration: To access certain features (e.g., requesting or offering handyman services), you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
  • Acceptable Use: You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes, such as requesting or providing home improvement and repair services. You may not use the Services to engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities, or to violate the rights of others.
2. Services Provided
  • Platform Role: DoHandy is a platform that connects Customers seeking handyman services (e.g., repairs, installations, maintenance) with Handyman service providers. We are not a party to any agreements between Customers and Handymen.
  • Service Agreements: Contracts for handyman services are solely between the Customer and the Handyman. DoHandy is not responsible for the quality, performance, safety, or outcome of services provided, including any work performed at a Customer’s property.
  • Service Scope: Handymen are responsible for ensuring services comply with local regulations, including permits or licenses where required.
3. Payments
  • Payment Processing: Customers pay for handyman services through our platform, and we may collect fees on behalf of Handymen. Payment terms, including fees, deposits, or refunds, are outlined during the booking process.
  • Disputes: Disputes over payments or services (e.g., incomplete work, dissatisfaction) should be resolved directly between Customers and Handymen. DoHandy may provide mediation tools but is not obligated to resolve disputes.
  • Fees: DoHandy may charge platform fees to Customers or Handymen, as specified during the booking or registration process.
4. User Responsibilities
  • Customers: You agree to provide accurate details about your handyman project (e.g., scope, location, condition of property), allow reasonable access to your property for service completion, and communicate promptly with Handymen.
  • Handymen: You agree to deliver services as described, maintain necessary licenses, certifications, or insurance as required by law, and comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., building codes, permits). You are responsible for your tools, materials, and work quality.
  • All Users: You are responsible for your conduct and content posted on our platform, including reviews, messages, project descriptions, or photos. Content must not be defamatory, misleading, or infringing.
5. Intellectual Property
  • All content on the Services, including text, logos, and designs, is owned by DoHandy Inc. or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.
  • User Content: By posting content (e.g., reviews, project photos, Handyman profiles), you grant DoHandy a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Services, including for marketing purposes.
6. Termination
  • We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or harm to other users (e.g., posting misleading reviews or failing to deliver services).
  • You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using account settings. Upon termination, certain provisions of these Terms (e.g., intellectual property, liability) will survive.
7. Limitation of Liability
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, DoHandy Inc. is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including disputes between Customers and Handymen, property damage, or service quality issues.
  • We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or quality of the Services or any handyman services provided by third parties through our platform.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold DoHandy Inc., its affiliates, and employees harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights, including any issues arising from handyman services performed or received.
9. Dispute Resolution
  • Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of [Insert State/Country, e.g., Delaware, USA], without regard to conflict of law principles.
